Jeremy is one of the most encouraging, wise, and passionate instructors I've been taught by, or really even encountered. He truly cared about our success and never left a student behind. In teaching such a robust curriculum he was patient with us, and with the course being many students' first time encountering coding, he made us feel comfortable yet challenged. Jeremy was always approachable, communicated lessons clearly and effectively, and kept us motivated. Even when we may have doubted ourselves, his faith and confidence in our skills never wavered. Any student would be lucky to have Jeremy as their instructor!

Full-time fellow in the Software Engineering Immersion (SEI) program, which includes over 500 hours of professional training over four months. Here I had a hands-on approach to design and build full stack responsive web applications through Javascript, React, Express, SQL, PostgreSQL, HTML, CSS, Ruby, Rails and version-control through Git and Github. I was able to work and collaborate with General Assembly’s UX teams to help build and better my projects, working individually or as a team, with two projects that accessed already existing API’s, and two where I built up my own.Projects:FXDB: The guitar effects database. Full stack application built with React and Rails, a page for users to post information about guitar equipment and search for equipment associated with specific artists and songsStellar: Mockup of the Orbitz Travel site. For our third project at GA our class was put into groups of 3 partnered with a group of UX students to collaborate and build a mock up of an existing site. I built up a back end of over 100 searchable flights across 6 US airports on SQL for this app.Bottom’s Up: My first React app, a drink recipe finder that links to the Cocktail API, with a section on information about various liquors and spirits for users to learn about.Everyone’s a Comedian!: My first project at GA, a search engine into the Dad Joke API, for any time you need a good, corny joke.
