The EU-funded PEaCH Project works to promote a positive message about bilingualism, and offers free guidance on how to support, maintain and develop children's multilingual skills. I am writing my PhD in Speech-Language Pathology on bilingual children’s early language development, focussing on differences and similarities between the language abilities of monolingual and bilingual Finnish children who are growing up acquiring either Finnish, Swedish or both. Furthermore, I investigate how the amount of language exposure affects bilingual children’s proficiency in their two languages.
