I consulted on the accessibility of new campus features such as the map and the interactive totems. I enhanced my attention to detail by regularly touring campus to identify improvements to raise at weekly meetings.

University of Warwick Wind Orchestra

  Coventry, United Kingdom I have conducted the ensemble in a variety of concert venues including the European Parliament in Strasbourg and the Butterworth Hall at Warwick Arts Centre. I lead the Wind Orchestra in rehearsals, continuing their development as a group from various musical backgrounds. In 2015, under the baton of myself and Paul McGrath, we were awarded a Silver Award at the National Concert Band Festival Regionals. When I am not conducting the Wind Orchestra, I am the Principal Piccolo/Flute.

This involved finding cheap but accessible accommodation, transport and flights whilst maintaining a maximum tour price of £300 for the week per person. I assisted with the migration from manual stock taking to an electronic barcode system in the sheet music department. I was also working in the shop which is a Tudor building in Croydon during the week of the riots in August 2011. I had to help protect the shop, ensure the safety of stock & the old building and to come up with ways of deterring any rioters from chosing our shop as a target. Show less

I also made trips down to the Junior School to play in assemblies and played in the orchestra for one of their musicals as well as Senior School musicals. This was of course in addition to taking part in rehearsals and playing in concerts. All of this was because I enjoyed doing it and not because I had to.
