Jenny is an excellent person for this role: she is passionate about building the capacity of people with disabilities to access formal employment; she is flexible and has the right attitude to find solutions to problems, added to her management expertise. She worked very well together with three DPOs (Disabled People Organisations) as her partner organisations. She is a very good mentor and she knows how to find the best talent in each and every person with disabilities she worked with. In this project Jenny also had to deal with the private companies and International Hotel Association, in which she demonstrated her outstanding skill in networking. She was able to establish contact for internship and potential employment for people with disabilities and maintain good relationship. By the end of her service, the DPOs are confident to continue this project on their own and one of the alumnae from the training is now taking over her role to manage this project. Besides her official placement with the formal employment training project, Jenny also provided frequent support for VSO Indonesia office, from facilitating workshops and managing volunteer events, to supporting staff in developing potential placement under the VSO Disability Programme. She always offered creative advice and constructive criticism, and she is always enthusiastic to get involved whenever required. I enjoyed working with Jenny and I find her contributions during her service as a VSO volunteer in Indonesia truly remarkable.
