Special Projects Director
-
Sep 2013 - Apr 2014
Alan Finch brought me in to support him during a very busy time for the organisation and principally to support him on the Arts Council NPO application development and process. I was also involved in script commissioning and license negotiations, the plans to develop a strategic commissioning relationship with a local authority and I was project lead for Advance, a national programme exploring how theatres can work more successfully with female artists."Jenny worked with me on a short term contract as Special Projects Director for 7 months until mid-April 2014 to cover a sabbatical, negotiating new commissions and covering some HR functions. Her principal role related to CFT’s NPO funding application to Arts Council England for 2015-2018. She is highly professional, was well-liked by her colleagues and delivered everything I had expected well within schedule. Importantly, during a highly pressured period for this Theatre, she has a great sense of humour and infinite patience!" Alan Finch, Executive Director, Chichester Festival Theatre

I was brought in to support the Artistic Director to develop a Grants for the Arts funding bid for a year long programme of work. The application was successful."Jenny's extensive experience of working in the arts as well as her in depth knowledge of arts funding hugely benefited Peut-Etre Theatre in our recent successful bid for funding. The opportunity to work closely with her has not only benefited us in terms of securing funding for two productions and tours, company development and managment but also in terms of gaining her very professional view and input on the company's future development and forward planning. I would have no hesitation in recommending Jenny highly to other organisations and will definitely use her services in the future." Daphna Attias, Artistic Director

I was brought in by the Executive Producer to support the development of their NPO application."Jenny has proved a significant help to Propeller as the company has become a national & international company over the last few years and we valued her real guidance and support enormously whilst she was with ACE. As a freelance consultant we are now able to benefit from her great ability to disentangle the arguments and get to the heart of the matter, to turn passion into cohesive statements and to be frank at all times. Jenny is someone we will always wish to work with." Caro Mackay, Executive Producer, Propeller Theatre

During my last few months at Arts Council England I was seconded to Watermill Theatre to begin the process of drawing up an Economic Impact Assessment in association with academics at University of Reading. As result I was asked to complete the project as a freelancer and the EIA has been used to support their case for support to both public and private funding partners. I was also asked to provide additional support for the NPO application process."I have really enjoyed working with Jenny both in her days at Arts Council & latterly on a freelance basis at the Watermill on a variety of projects. Her calm wisdom and ability to think strategically can always be relied upon as well as a sense of humour that cheers you through the difficult bits!" Hedda Beeby, Artistic Director / CEO, Watermill Theatre
