As the Sales Representative at Finnlines Agencies gave freights, booked cargo and invoiced in the name of POL-Levant Shipping Lines and Swedish SOL (Swedish Orient Line). The majority of the cargo was break bulk such as paper reels and steel bars but also demanding projects and all kinds of heavy and oversized transportation from Finland to several ports in the Mediterranean Sea. The customer base consisted of both domestic and foreign companies and private persons. As the Customer Service Representative booked cargo, mainly trailers, lorries and containers, from Finland to Germany, every now and then also to Poland. Worked closely with colleagues in the customer service team and was daily in contact with my colleagues in Germany. Part of the IT-group that developed Finnlines’ online-booking system. Contact person for web-customers and acted as a 'first aid' when they had problems with their online-bookings. In order to improve the booking system documented and reported all the errors to the IT-department. Show less
