  THREAD is an architects, design lab and creative consultancy supporting complex architectural and cultural projects specifically within the Historic arena. The studio offers experience, rigour, precise communication and creativity in both intelligent conservation, design and strategic thinking. Current Projects include: NETTLECOMBE COURT Producing production information, detailed drawings & specification for significant internal alterations to this C16th Grade I Listed Manor House for the Field Studies Council. Including detailed assessments of significance of the existing fabric, & the identification of opportunities for alterations. Listed Building Consent achieved - project in technical design & opening up phase. SEATON SEAFRONT - WORLD HERITAGE COASTLINE Working with Project Architect in developing proposals for redesign of esplanade, including new public spaces and design of building within subterranean landscape of raised public spaces. Liaison with Town Council, Civil Engineers, Quantity Surveyors & Local Authority Highways. Currently engaged in pre-planning public consultation. C16th HALSWELL HOUSE Working with Project Architect (& Lead Consultant) to support the conservation and refurbishment of Halswell House and surrounding buildings, a complex and expansive Grade 1 Listed property. This involves working with specialist conservators, engineers and academics, and in close consultation with English Heritage and the Local Council. Recently completed complex detailed design of roof insulation and ventilation proposals for extent of rear Tudor Range - Listed Building consent approved.
