Diligent and clever describe Jenny quite well, she is a capable, bright and hardworking colleague. We worked in the same group at TWI while Jenny was completing her EngD where she demonstrated the ability the quickly grasp complex technical requirements. On a more personal note Jenny is also a very thoughtful and kind person. When I was leaving the company for another opportunity she organised the most lovely going away card and gift which I deeply appreciated. I have no doubt that she will continue to do very well in her career as she would be an asset to any team.

I have worked with Jenny whilst she was carrying out a research position at the University of Southampton. Jenny is very knowledgable in materials science and mechanical engineering. She has carried out research and development of welded structures where she implemented novel damage assessment and mechanical testing approaches to understand structural failure. Jenny has been a valuable team member and makes time to listen and train others. She has trained me to mesh complex 3D models from X-ray computed tomography volumes, allowing me to run complex stress analysis simulations. Jenny comes highly recommended and is a joy to work with!

Developed a testing and analysis methodology to optimise welding parameters for maximising fatigue strength of steel arc welds. Automated algorithms were written to perform stress analysis on high-resolution micro-computed tomography scans to link weld toe stress distributions to fatigue crack initiation and early crack propagation.
