Bio
Peter Spreij
I have met Jenny Kudymowa when she enrolled in the course Statistics I have taught at the Tinbergen Institute in 2014. In this course she stood out as an excellent student, curious and eager to learn the material I was teaching. She was also actively involved during the lectures, for instance by asking intelligent questions and showing genuine interest that was also illustrated by the many discussions we had during breaks and after the lectures. I was impressed by her drive to fully understand the contents of the course. Based on this experience I was very happy to know that she volunteered to be my teaching assistant for this course in the next year (2015). My trust in her capabilities appeared to be completely justified. Her involvement was highly appreciated by the students who perceived her as very competent, always being available to answer their questions in a clear way. She put a lot of effort in being a teaching assistant beyond what was usually required. The climax of this was her winning of the 1st prize for a teaching assistant of the year award at TI in that year. It became obvious that she possesses strong statistical and mathematical skills, she is a quick learner and very enthusiastic when it comes to technical subjects. I can absolutely recommend her for a job that requires those skills.
