Maintained protective supervision of families involved in the dependency court system or who voluntarily agreed to protective supervision. This included maintaining monthly home visits and completing risk assessments to ensure child safety, assisting foster parents and relative caregivers in meeting the needs of their children, creating case plans for parents to complete for reunification with their children or to strengthen their current situations, linking families to service providers, networking with service providers and other state agencies that provided our clients necessary services, participating in legal meetings and mediations, representing CBC of Seminole in various court hearings that occurred at least 2-3 days each week, filing reports with the legal department such as judicial review reports and status reports, testifying in termination of parental rights hearings, and ultimately maintaining a case load that ranged from 30-40 children at a time during my tenure as dependency case manager. Mentored fellow and newly hired dependency case managers as part of a paid position in a newly developed mentorship program in order to increase effectiveness of daily work functioning and decrease turnover rate. Participated in a systems review committee to improve overall system functioning and that implemented the first annual community resource fair to aid networking of dependency case managers and community service providers.
