AdvancedMD is a medical software and services platform for private practices and facilities. My team is an added service the providers can purchase to assist their medical staff with billing their claims to the insurance companies, creating and submitting appeals to the insurance, corresponding with the providers and medical staff in addressing their needs with the software, payments, and submitting claims. I am contacting various insurance companies to investigate claim denials, pre-authorizations, and patients benefits/eligibility. With 10 years experience, I’m fascinated and excited to always learn something new in this ever changing healthcare industry. Show less

Byram Healthcare is a national leader in disposable medical supplies. I work on the Diabetes Specialty team located in Salt Lake City, Utah. We specialize in the medical supplies and equipment for Type 1 and Type 2 Diabetics. I started out in the Customer Service department, promoted to Team Leader and then transferred to the New Intake department where I currently am. The team I am on works in setting up the new accounts for our customers, verifying their benefits, contacting their Doctor's for their prescriptions and any documents needed for the insurance and placing their orders. There are many functions within the team, many steps in the ladder to make sure the patient gets the supplies needed for their medical care. Processing these items in a timely matter is of extreme importance as these patients cannot live without these supplies. Urgency is key. Show less
