As a Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner (SANE) I provide timely, non-judgmental, compassionate care to the sexual assault victim. The SANE exam may include a medical-forensic exam, prophylaxis for pregnancy and sexually transmitted infections, photographic documentation, and referrals for appropriate medical and psychological follow-up, support and participation in legal proceedings. I am a staff RN in a 6 bed ICU. My duties ranged from charge nurse to caring for patients from age 3 months - geriatrics. Our patients ranged from surgical patients, ventilator patients, to internal medicine patients. I am the Peer Review Coordinator for PCTS, I did the schedule for the ICU for 5 months, I cross-trained and worked PACU, ER, and MBU. I am a PALS instructor, ACLS Certified, BLS certified, and STABLE Certified. I am currently in school online to finish my BSN. I am a staff RN in a 6 bed ICU.
