I joined London Capital Group in 2010 as financial controller before rising to finance director in 2014. London Capital Group is a leading provider of online trading services including financial spread betting, CFDs and institutional FX and is regulated by the FCA. The business is listed on the London Stock Exchange AIM market. As Group Finance Director I held the positions of CF1 and CF10a with the FCA and had responsibility for all aspects of the financial management of the company including financial and management accounting, planning and reporting, internal audit, legal and secretarial matters, tax and treasury, compliance with listing rules and compliance with financial related regulatory reporting including client money, ICAAP, Reg reporting (including COREP) and capital adequacy. During this role two trances of finance were raised for the business which were a placing of ordinary shares onto the AIM market and an issue of convertible loan notes to new investors. The role involved supporting the CEO and Chairman as well as advising the board on the strategic direction of the business and liaising with shareholders and loan note holders on financial matters.
