As a student wellbeing officer at Strathmore Secondary College, I managed a caseload of students and families within a team structure providing individual and group counselling from a holistic framework, making external referrals where appropriate. As Coordinator for Students with Special Needs, I oversaw the management of 18 PSD and TAC funded students, an administration assistant, and 8 integration aides to ensure sufficient provision of supports to young people with additional needs in the classroom, incursions, and excursions. I collated specialist evidence of a student’s presenting case and managed the data to determine eligibility for funding under PSD, including multidisciplinary consultation.During the short period in this position, I successfully obtained Accessible Buildings grants and individual grants external to PSD funding allocation.
