Jenny is one of the brightest stars in the galaxy of educational leadership. I have been fortunate to have known Jenny for the past eighteen years as a colleague collaborating for the improvement of green and healthy schools. In the early days the work focused on the Midwest region, but through Jenny's hard work and contributions, the work expanded into a national movement. Her contributions were formally recognized when she was asked to step up and lead the Green School's National Network. Part of Jenny's genius is her ability to incorporate humor and music effectively in support of her work. When looking for a colleague, collaborator, or just a good friend, you would be blessed if you found Jennifer Seydel.

Founded by principals, superintendents, and teachers, GSNN is devoted to accelerating student achievement through the implementation of green, healthy and sustainable practices as outlined in our GreenPrint® for Green, Healthy, and Sustainable Schools. The Green Schools National Network (GSNN) advances the national green, healthy and sustainable schools movement by connecting like-minded and passionate education, non-profit, corporate and public sector individuals and organizations. In my role with Expeditionary Learning I provided school coaching, leadership development, and curriculum design support to schools in Kansas, Minnesota, Missouri, New York, Rhodes Island, Wisconsin, West Virginia, and Minnesota. I have also worked with colleagues as the lead author on one of the first integrated curriculum modules that integrate the Common Core State Standards in ELA with the Next Generation Science Standards.
