Responsibilities: • Ensuring cases are 100% compliant and adhering to both statutory and ‘best practice’ guidelines and regulations, in accordance with the Insolvency Act 1986; • Responsible for maximising realisations whilst demonstrating commerciality and efficiency; • Day to day administration of bankruptcy cases, setting up cases, dealing with statutory duties, investigations and progressing cases to closure, including preparing reports, letters, and dealing with all correspondence in accordance with statutory and client led deadlines, in a compliant manner; • Completing cashier instructions and bank reconciliations on own caseload and on colleagues’ caseloads as required; • Dealing with complex bankruptcy cases such as investigating foreign assets, transfers of property prior to bankruptcy order and antecedent transactions. Negotiating complex property sales, dealing with equity of exoneration and equitable accounting; • Producing reports for creditors and ensuring that all reports and material produced are to an acceptable standard and comply with regulations, SIP's and internal procedures & requirements; • Dealing with applications in respect of possession and sale of properties, annulment of bankruptcy proceedings and suspension of discharge hearings, including supporting the Trustee in the drafting of witness statements for Court matters; • Overall responsibility for case progression of my portfolio, whilst maintaining and constantly developing technical knowledge and demonstrating a clear understanding of regulatory and statutory requirements; • Conducting meetings with debtors and their advisers; • Organising office events such as the office Christmas party and quarterly social events and organising team events such as away days and marketing events; • Building and maintaining strong client relationships, attending various networking events within Yorkshire and building strong bonds with like minded young professionals.
