As part of the photo staff at the aquarium, I greeted people and took their picture, used Photoshop to edit photos, and sold the photos. This job helped me to gain knowledge on how to provide excellent customer service, gain knowledge on how to use Photoshop, and to better my communication skills when it comes to working with a group of people. Student Staff Assistant for the Galileo Football Program
-
2009 - 2013
As a student staff assistant of the Galileo Football Program, I had many responsibilities: doing paperwork, assisting during practices and games, making sure the equipment and uniforms were clean and in the right place, selling t-shirts and other merchandise for the football program, providing basic first aid when needed, filming practices and games in order for the head coach to use when he and the team would go over their performance, taking photos during the games, and providing water to the players during practices and games.Overall, this experience has really helped me to realize that I wanted to become an athletic trainer and with the knowledge I gained from being a student staff assistant, I believe it will help me during my time in the Athletic Training Undergraduate Program at San Jose State. What I liked most about the experience was being able to work with a team of football players, coaches, and other student staff assistants, and that will certainly help me when I would have to work with various sports teams in the future.
