Ventilator and hemodynamic management plays a major part of patient care. Advanced skills acquired during my flight career include intubation, cricothyrotomy, chest tube placement, and central line placement. I teach several classes, including ECMO, Impella, Intra Aortic Balloon Pump, and Advanced Hemodynamic Monitoring. I joined Baylor Grapevine after graduating from nursing school. I completed Baylor’s critical care internship. After spending time as a staff nurse in the Cardiac Universal Bed (CUB) unit, I eventually functioned as a charge nurse and preceptor. I left Baylor Grapevine in search of higher patient acuity and opportunity to move up in my career. I joined Baylor Grapevine after graduating from nursing school.
