  Assessment/Intervention: Co-authored forensic evaluations of competency to stand trial and violence risk assessments. Served as member of multi-disciplinary treatment team for unit of forensic inpatients with severe, refractory mental illness. Provided twice weekly individual competency instruction with patients committed for competency restoration and weekly long-term psychotherapy with high functioning patients. Facilitated mental health psycho-educational classes. Conducted clinical assessments addressing neuropsychological functioning, personality traits, or intellectual disabilities. Conducted pre-employment psychological evaluation for police officer applicants. Provided weekly psychotherapy with outpatients from the community. Instructed weekly psycho-educational class about stress management and coping skills for acute psychiatric inpatients. Populations Served: Forensically committed inpatients deemed ‘not manifestly dangerous,’ with either a pre-trial (competency restoration treatment) or post-trial (treatment after ‘not guilty by reason of insanity’ acquittal) commitment. Diagnoses included psychotic, mood, and personality disorders. Other clinical issues included intellectual disabilities, malingering, cognitive impairment due to HIV, traumatic brain injury, and/or heavy substance use. Community outpatients presented with major depression, generalized and social anxiety, personality disorder traits, panic attacks, and self-injurious behavior. Acute psychiatric inpatients commonly presented with psychosis, major depression, and history of substance use. Other Responsibilities: Documented intake and treatment plans for newly admitted patients. Documented treatment interventions in electronic medical record. Attended weekly forensic and general psychology seminar and forensic assessment consultation meetings. Attended weekly group and individual supervision with licensed psychologists.
