As a coach, my goal is to ensure that school staff acquires the understanding and skills to enhance educational practices at the classroom level and raise the level of student achievement. Some of my duties include:-Meet regularly with classroom teachers (one-on-one or small group) to select professional goals, implement strategies, and provide meaningful feedback.-Build and maintain confidential professional relationships with teachers.-Conduct regular meetings with teachers (one-on-one or small group) that allow for planning, review of data, and teacher reflection.-Provide ongoing, individual feedback and coaching for teachers in a one-on-one setting that supports teachers in achieving goals. -Collaborate with the Academic Leadership Team to support school-wide goals and implement school-wide initiatives.-Assist in division specific, content specific, and school-wide professional development.-Facilitate professional development meetings within content areas and grade levels. -Actively participate in the Chester County Intermediate Unit chapter of the Pennsylvania Institute of Instructional Coaching (PIIC) Network.-Provide teachers in grade levels and content areas with resources that enhance students learning and student engagement.-Collaborate with the Data Specialist and teachers to review course, teacher, and student-specific data to individualize and inform instruction.-Identify school teaching and learning needs, barriers, and weaknesses.-Monitor instructional effectiveness and student progress.
