  Senior genetic counselor and clinical research coordinator. Responsible for all aspects of pre- and post-test prenatal counseling. Wrote and received a 2-year grant to expand telemediated genetic counseling to 13 outlying clinics serviced through the UTMB obstetric department. Provided telemediated genetic counseling to these sites as well. Directed and managed the operations of two, independent NIH grants, including a multi-center research trial drawing patients from 11 area hospitals. Extensive experience collaborating with community hospital staff, personnel, medical ethics committees and IRBs. Supervised nurses, medical students, residents and other medical professionals. Contributed to medical student and resident education as well as nursing continuing education. Wrote newsletters and press releases for grants as needed.
