Working with a multi - disciplinary team at local level, I am actively involved in providing ongoing support for students and instructional staff on vocational training and rehabilitation programmes. I am responsible for coordinating the Individual Action Planning (IAP) process . Job Duties & Responsibilities: Working in partnership with Regional Psychologists to enable the ongoing development of psychological services. Conducting a Needs Analysis with all students. To facilitate trainees in identifying needs and preparing for their first IAP (Individual Action Plan). Co-ordinating, attending, leading and recording the students IAP meetings. Providing ongoing trainee support as required linking in with external services and advocating for students. To provide staff with formal support through the provision of regular meetings. Additional informal supports may also be provided on a needs basis. Liaising with other parties involved with trainees, including families, professionals, and external agencies, local and regional managers on new developments as appropriate. Engaging in crisis management, as required, in consultation with the Area Manager and Regional Psychologist. Making appropriate referrals to external counselling in consultation with the Rehabilitation Psychologist, as required.
