  I worked work the school district’s Superintendent and Building Coordinators to develop a district wide Safe Routes to School program for elementary and middle school students. This program was funded by the first district wide grant in the State of Michigan. I created and developed the Every Day Walker/Rider program to encourage and challenge students to walk to school everyday. Over the course of my time I was i wrote and received several grants to continue funding for this program, including a major grant under review. If awarded the township could receive funding for up to two miles of improved sidewalks.
