• Collaborate with the Director of Operations and Executive Chef to design and create unique cocktail and wine lists for all locations utilizing the freshest ingredients and most innovative concepts. • Create all training materials for bar staff including basic bar training, beverage manuals, cocktail recipes, product lists and knowledge, wine tasting notes, training quizzes and tests for front of the house bar staff. • Assist with the physical set up of the bar for two new restaurant locations to ensure that the bar runs efficiently and is organized in a way that the bar staff can work at their highest potential. • Interview, hire and train all bar staff and bar support staff. • Work side by side with all bar staff at all locations to ensure that all aspects of the bar run smoothly and efficiently daily • Take weekly inventory on all bar products and order all beverage products to fulfill the demands of the restaurant/lounge as well as all private dining events. • Use the Compeat program to perform, enter and evaluate inventory on all beverage products monthly • Collaborate with local media outlets such as Boston Magazine and The Phantom Gourmet to promote the BNEG brand. • Meet weekly with owners, management and marketing staff to discuss, evaluate, and promote ideas/concepts that will build business and strengthen all aspects of the restaurant.
