I was provided a rare opportunity to build a consumer marketing team with the vision to extend James Hardie from a trade-focused brand to a consumer-driven brand that inspires homeowners to achieve their dream home. Reporting to the APAC Marketing Director, I was a member of the APAC Marketing leadership team responsible for the development of fully integrated marketing strategies and execution plan with the objective to make every homeowner & residential building designer in Australia connect with James Hardie through emotional storytelling for the moments that matter in life. A key part of this role was to manage 4 direct reports, coaching and developing them to build capability for further growth opportunities. Key achievements: - Finalists for commercial person of the year 2021 – for the second year in a row- Led the transformation of the James Hardie brand from trade focused to a consumer driven brand. Increased brand health metrics – spontaneous awareness by 25%, consideration by 10% and preference by 30%. – in the first 12 months. - Briefed, planned and executed the first consumer TVC, aired to a record audience of 12.5 million during the Australian Open 2022- Created a marketing funnel for consumer marketing and increased metrics at all stages. Eg 63% increase in website traffic, grew MQLs by 392% and increased conversion by 9%- On-boarded and managed a new agency village to execute against a consumer brand approach - Secured and negotiated supplier partnership with The Block, including increased penetration of Hardie exterior cladding products.
