Joanne Barry
As the Executive Director of A Place to Turn, I have come to know, value, and depend on Jen London. Jen began as a volunteer, passionate about serving the community. She is always willing to support the food pantry in any capacity – whether it be by sorting food donations, delivering presentations to members of the public about our mission, or educating staff about the nutritional and health aspects of our various initiatives. The Board of Directors recognized Jen’s commitment as a volunteer and saw her as a potential asset to our Board. Currently a board member, Jen provides operational, strategic, and financial assistance to our team. Specifically, she has been instrumental in crafting our budget as well as conducting financial analysis and presenting complex data in an accessible way. Jen is a strategic leader, provides critical insights, and has taken several program initiatives from conception to sustainability. She also successfully chaired the largest fundraising event in our non-profit’s forty year history. I recommend Jen and am thankful for the positive impact she has made and will continue to make on A Place to Turn and our community.
