Jennifer puts her heart and her head into everything she does. I watched her develop from a little girl, to a young lady, and into a fine young woman. She is EVERYTHING this father can be proud of. Love DAD

For over 2 years I worked as an associate in the Federal Tax Compliance division . I gained a lot of experience in working with client financial statements to produce book-to-tax workpapers to aid in the completion of various tax return filings such as: 1065, 1120S, 1120C, 1040, 990, 1041, 709 as well as the required state filings. In addition, I also assisted the research and development tax credit team (R&D), where I traveled to client sites to obtain information directly from engineers in order to determine which departments qualified for the credit. Through my opportunity with the R&D team, I compiled interview reports and obtained the proper internal company documentation to produce a thorough support report. My federal compliance client work consisted of real estate, construction, law firms, and book publishing. As an associate I had the opportunity to take on a senior role on large engagements where I instructed, managed, and reviewed work by several interns at once. In addition, I have learned the invaluable experience of closely working with coworkers by impressing upon me the need for patience, cooperation, team building and understanding in any situation. I strive to meet and even exceed client expectations by producing quality work.

Through the fall internship program, I worked directly with a financial advisor and his team by building potential client relationships. I learned the importance of networking and cold calling in order to discuss client's individual needs and the potential impact and value of Smith Barney's services for their investment portfolios. I also had the opportunity to learn more about how investment decisions are made through research of price volatility and other fundamental criteria.
