    • Catering Coordinator
      • Aug 2017 - Mar 2018

As a Catering Coordinator, my primary objective was taking calls from clientele on the University of Tennessee Campus in Knoxville to plan and execute their catering needs. From small functions to large ones, my attention to detail was imperative. I entered orders into Catertrax and communicated client needs to the Chef’s and to the Catering Staff. My position also included processing billing and some light accounting. • Owner/Operator
      • Jan 2012 - Aug 2017

What didn't I do is the better question here! As the Owner/Operator of Imagination Forest I did everything from print and web design, to social media, display presentation, product buying, scheduling, employee management and accounting. I created this business in 2012 based on the need for interactive play for children to guide them towards using their imagination for fun. From concept to execution my biggest satisfaction was watching a "dream" becoming a "reality". I created birthday parties, classes, interactive displays, crafts and opportunities daily to attract families to my party venue, play center and retail shop. The memories I made with my families are the things I miss the most. I chose to close Imagination Forest when it became evident the business was not viable. Show less

    • Radio Personality
      • 2014 - 2015

I came on board with Merle-FM as a night time Radio Personality as a second job while running my business called Imagination Forest. My business was small and struggling and I needed income so I went back to work doing what I knew how to do already. I missed radio and I wanted to get back into it on a part-time basis. A syndicated program replaced me on nights so I was asked to move to middays. The daytime work was better for me and my family so I was excited for that change. I worked two days per week on the air until ultimately it became too hard to run my business and be somewhere else so I had to resign from this position. Show less

  • B97.5 - South Central Communications
    • Knoxville, Tennessee Area
    • Radio Personality
      • Nov 2001 - Dec 2013

My radio show was consistently Number 1 in the Knoxville Metro for the 12 years I was on the air. As the Midday Personality I was responsible for communicating useful information in a short, concise manner to the listening audience while maintaining a music focus. I was also responsible for writing and producing copy for radio promotions and advertising clients. I also assisted the Program Director to schedule promotional announcements and remote broadcasts. I created relationships with my listeners. I knew how to talk TO them rather than AT them. During my time on the air I created several unique concepts including a Book of the Month Club, a Small Business of the Week feature, Sisters of the Skillet and several fundraisers for Ronald McDonald House. One of the hardest choices I ever made was to leave this job. I knew it was time for personal and professional growth so I chose to resign. Show less
