This is the first contact customer-facing position at WCSU, requiring excellent customer service and communication skills, diligence, and a friendly, calm nature under pressure. Able to work in a fast-paced work environment. Communication skills are critical to the Program Coordinator's success as the entire job is related to developing and planning initiatives relating mass media and communications principles to faculty research, student experiential learning and advancement of student organizations. In collaboration with the WCSU staff, the position facilitates initiatives that support promotion of campus programs across media platforms including audio and video analog broadcast and streaming applications. Provides administrative support, divisional technology procurement, asset management, contract management, project management, change management, university program and media relations management, corporate and community relationship management, and training coordination.• Assist in student internship, work study and professional development throughout the year, and, in collaboration with the WCSU Operations Director, Broadcast Technician, Program Director, the College of Humanities, Arts and Social Sciences (CHAS) Digital Media Studio/Lab Manager, the Ohio NewsRoom, the Ohio Black News Service and other external entities.Develop and media outreach/promotional strategies promoting Honors, domestic and international student activities and initiatives.
