As a freelance designer, I enjoy working with multiple small businesses with the goal of defining their brand and promoting their products. I was the “go-to” person at our office- filling many roles including fostering community between current members, meeting with potential members, event planning, and maintaining facilities - all while attending to the day-to-day operation of the center. In addition to my assigned roles, I also took on multiple high-level projects that related to my interest in UX/UI. These projects included collecting and sharing data with multiple departments and long-term testing of our workspace management program (including working with the program’s company to resolve major bugs, improve usability and streamline processes). Marketing Assistant

I started out at UCSC’s Summer Session as a Student Assistant. I was quickly promoted to Marketing Assistant after taking on the project of overhauling and redesigning the Summer Session website (including graphic, text, and UI improvements). I also designed print pieces for targeted audiences, managed the department’s social media presence, and represented the university at outreach events. During my employment, the UCSC Summer Session department received both the 2017 Best Website Award and the 2017 WASSA Best Comprehensive Marketing Effort Award from the Western Association of Summer Sessions.
