I provide caregiver support by being available to sit and listen to their current situation and support them in navigating the world of aging and being a caregiver. I also assist Veterans with enrolling for VA Health care, and provide short presentations on the basics of VA health care and benefits - I am not an authorized VA representative and do not indicate or imply I am; I am a Veteran who navigates the VA health care system, so I understand the frustrations - I also provide trainings on Older LGBT Adults living in LTCFs and in the community. Currently working on intergenerational programs tailored towards the LGBT(QIA+) community and how to best provide supportive services to this demographic. Always researching and learning new theories, best practices, program development and the ever changing policies associated with aging and care. Show less
