  I recently went to the dentist and she asked me, “What does a Learning Designer do?” Well, I took a look at my x-ray on the screen and I explained “basically I am the x-ray machine for a company’s learning ecosystem. I go in to detect any weak spots and see where the learning could be stronger and I come up with designs to make that stronger and more accessible. Often it's just a little cavity and then sometimes it's an entire bridge.”
