I'm a great fan of Jennifer as a both a fundraiser and a team mate. In 2020 I heard about the innovative and collaborative approach she had been taking to fundraising and asked her to be the guest speaker in a webinar I was preparing for a large group of fundraisers from a range of environmental charities in 2020. Jennifer did an outstanding job, clearly explaining about the bold approach her charity has taken to fundraising and its new appeal (to save and reinvigorate Yorkshire's dew ponds and their associated wildlife). Jennifer also helped bring to life another element of the webinar to do with solving the challenges of messaging / story-telling in the context of a complex environmental charity. (Incidentally, the appeal has since turned out to be a great success, far exceeding its targets, enabling the work on the dew ponds to go ahead. Secondly, as importantly, throughout this process and in my conversations with her, I've always found Jennifer to be smart, professional and reliable, which meant that as her colleague for the purposes of this webinar, my job was made much easier knowing she was someone I could enjoy working with and rely on. I've also noticed that Jennifer is curious and loves to keep learning, to find and implement new distinctions to continually improve her results. I believe this growth mindset is one of the things that has made her successful in her fundraising career so far.

Jennifer volunteered at Buglife, helping with a funding application, Google analytics and writing copy for the website. Jennifer is hardworking and eager to learn.
