Had the pleasure to work with Ms. Colna during her studies at Thinkful, in the Engineering Immersion course. Jennifer was one of those students who I enjoyed lecturing because she wasn't satisfied in seeing her application work, but always wanted to know what's going on "under the hood" and why her code worked! In my opinion, this is the grain needed in making an awesome developer, and Jennifer is on the correct path to achieve this. She's a thorough and meticulous developer and comfortably recommend her for any web-dev position within the industry.

I had the privilege of working with Jennifer several times while in coding school, during which she demonstrated a high level of aptitude for software architecture and problem-solving. Jennifer is a great team-player and a joy to work with, but she really shines as a leader. With a prior background in education, she's very organized and has the innate ability to guide a team in the right direction. She did exactly that as the project manager of her team's final class project. In addition to that, as a former teacher, she makes sure that her work is set as an example for others, thus, she always writes clean and quality code. Jennifer is a skilled React and Node/Express developer, and takes the time to make sure things are done the right way and would never accept a quick workaround as a final solution. Jennifer's passion and work ethic make her a natural leader and a valuable asset to any team.

Enrolled in Engineering Immersion program where I learned industry best practices and practical software development standards with a focus on HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery, Node.js, React, Redux, and algorithms & data structures. I created and deployed mobile-first applications while learning new languages and frameworks by collaborating several hours every week with a senior web developer.
