To lead marketing strategy and direct all communications and activations. In this role, I led all aspects of marketing and communications within the business. Given the nature of Rhodes, this required me to be multi-disciplined, efficient and resourceful. The role required stringent annual budget planning and team management. Beyond this, however, I drove efficiencies and creativity in the following areas: Marketing Strategy: Redefined how Rhodes plan and produce their annual marketing calendar. Implemented new campaign plans for high profile shows and performances. Reviewed and revised marketing plans throughout the year to ensure a consistently strong ROMI. Set up an annual marketing review with board members to debate and refine marketing activity. Brand Marketing & PR: Regularly researched and analysed audience data to ensure the marketing plans effectiveness. Sharpened the company brand to create better audience relevancy and pertinence. Implemented a Love Your Theatre campaign to raise awareness of the theatre in the local area. Compiled, distribute and worked with local partners to deliver weekly press releases. Events: Since joining Rhodes in 2014, attendance and profit for the key event grew by 15%. The 2016 pantomime had an 88% attendance; the best performing pantomime in terms of profit and attendance in Rhodes history. Digital and eCRM: Produced copy/content for the website whilst implementing a new internal management model. Developed a social media strategy leading to a 41% increase in engagement Introduced segmentation targeting via eCRM achieving an average open rate of 33% (10% above the average results for UK SME email marketing campaigns). Direct Marketing: Produced the seasonal brochure, compiling information from over 30 different sources. The brochure was produced three times a year and was a successful marketing tool with over 70% of audiences stating the brochure as their source of information. Whilst at EMXCo the company went through a rebranding exercise, which I was heavily involved in. This included all literature, website and the live system the company operates. Produced and coordinated approx 30 client events a year ranging from small meetings and dinners to full scale events of 200 people which were free to attend. The role also included writing PR, newsletters and website content. Whilst at EMXCo the company went through a rebranding exercise, which I was heavily involved in.
