-Worked with both adult and geriatric clients in providing intensive rehabilitation services.-Responsibilities included planning and providing therapeutic intervention for a rotating caseload of about eight clients with speech and language disorders secondary to brain injuries.-Involved in weekly team conferences in which patient status and case management were discussed by relevant professionals. -Common disorders treated on the brain injury floor included dysphagia, nonfluent aphasia, apraxia of speech, right hemisphere disorder (RHD), dysarthria, and traumatic brain injury (TBI). -Gained extensive hands-on experience in evaluating and providing intervention for patients with disorders of consciousness (DOC). -Participated in several video swallow studies and bedside swallowing evaluations, integrating concepts learned from MBSimP training and dysphagia coursework.

-Interned at a middle school evaluating and providing therapeutic intervention for clients ages 11-14. -Old Bridge is home to a diverse population; the majority of the caseload (50+ clients) at this placement consisted of special needs children. -Worked with clients with a variety of disabilities in different types of classroom settings (Multiply-Disabled, Learning-Language Disabled, Resource, etc.) in pull-out, push-in, and group settings. -Administered various diagnostic tests including the CELF-5, TAPS-4, PPVT-5, EVT-3, SSI-4, and criterion-referenced measures to assess children across all academic groups. -Therapy commonly addressed deficits in the areas of expressive and receptive language, articulation, fluency, and pragmatics. -Provided intervention for several clients with AAC systems. -Participated in meetings with administration and other professionals, presented on an AAC program to the department, and frequently took part in IEP meetings.
