  Winchester I undertook a placement at INTECH, now Winchester Science Centre, in 2013. I wrote and presented live science shows for children aged from 4 to 14, on topics including kitchen chemistry, forces, water, and the electromagnetic spectrum, running up to 4 shows a day. As well as this, I spent some of my placement working in the office with the Hampshire STEMNet team, working on finding ways to present the information in their database in a more useful format.

  As a member of a team of moderators, I reviewed questions that school pupils sent in to scientists, tagged them with keywords, and approved them to be posted on the site - or otherwise merged them with existing questions. I also ran and moderated live chats between school groups and scientists We (the team) communicated with each other via chat throughout the two weeks to keep the site and live chats running smoothly
