      To lead the day to day management and organisation of the After-School Club To provide line management to a team of play workers, directing the work of staff based at the After School Club, supervising their activities and inducting new staff members. To lead and motivate a team of staff to deliver high quality creative play opportunities in a safe and caring environment Liaise with the school with regard to the needs of the children who attend the club To liaise with parents to encourage parental involvement and support of the After School Club I also work part time at St John the divine primary school as a mealtime supervisor i have had this role since 1999-present. As a Mealtime Supervisor i have a responsibility under the direction of the Head Teacher, for securing the safety, welfare and good conduct of all children during the meal-time break period, in accordance with the practices and procedures of the school. As Supervisor i must work as a member of a team and in liaison and co-operation with other members of mealtime supervisory and kitchen staff, class teachers, parents and head teacher. Good relationships are important in ensuring the right environment is maintained. Mealtime supervisors will seek to find constructive solutions to their differences, referring situations to other appropriate school staff if necessary. I have an overall responsibility for the safety of all the children during the mealtime break. Health and safety considerations are of prime importance - care and vigilance must be exercised at all times. Show less
