I have worked with Jenna in a team and individual setting. She is hard working and the definition of a team player, by displaying characteristics of selflessness and compassion towards others. I would highly recommend Jenna for any position, especially a position involving interpersonal relationships due to her great communication skills.

As a tour guide, I was responsible for understanding the ecology and geography of the La Jolla shoreline, and communicating this knowledge to individuals of all cultural and athletic backgrounds while leading a kayak group for two hours in the Pacific Ocean. I also lead snorkel tours titled "Leopard Shark Encounters" which required me to effectively communicate factual information while observing wildlife in real-time and create a fun, informative yet comfortable experience for tourists in the midst of crashing waves and unpredictable wildlife. While not on tours, I worked inside the shop and assisted customers with their purchases/rentals, informational questions, and needs/concerns. Catering to mostly tourists, this position was a balancing act of being a source of valuable information, making sure customers felt safe and comfortable in the ocean for first time, and ensuring that everyone on the tour felt enriched, safe and entertained. - Led up to 3 kayak tours a day, for two-hours each with groups of 5-10 tourists at a time - Facilitated a comfortable environment in the middle of the Pacific Ocean with individuals of all backgrounds and interests - Assisted up to 4 groups of tourists at a time while in the shop, memorizing various orders for tours, rented and purchased gear equipment Show less
