  I am employed as a Collection Specialist with the Cord Blood Bank at Canadian Blood Services. Over the last four years, in this position, I have been responsible for maintaining public awareness, education and the promotion and acceptance of cord blood donations for the public bank. My responsibilities include ex-utero umbilical cord blood collections, quarterly site inspections for occupational health and safety, and managing self-scheduling for myself and fellow employees. In doing so, I maintain Canadian Blood Services quality standards in a non-CBS setting at The Ottawa Hospital. Further, I am an instructional trainer for collection staff and registered nurses and I possess extensive experience in the implementation of educational/training programs for CBS staff and external hospital staff.
