I completed my student-teaching at South High Community School in Worcester, Massachusetts. For over 3 months, I worked with a mentor teacher and taught 10th grade U.S. History. Two classes were honors level and three were college level. I gradually took over each of the five classes and was in charge of planning and implementing lessons, as well as grading student work. I had approximately 120 students, including English-Language-Learners and students with diverse academic needs. This experience was part of the following classes at Worcester State University: ED-424-OL Seminar: Teaching Practicum ED-480-01Practicum: Teaching Secondary School Show less

I worked with elementary and middle school children before and after school hours. This involved homework help, games and activities, and instructional activities. The students were between the ages of 5 and 13. I was a district float teacher, meaning I moved around the elementary and middle schools in Dudley and Charlton on a weekly basis.
