It has been a pleasure to work with Jenna during her placement year at Agilent. We offer a large and diverse range of genomics products which many new starts can find daunting, but Jenna has taken the time to get to know every product she was asked to work on, and it's applications, and has shown great diligence and determination, in extremely difficult circumstances during lock down. Her candour with internal colleagues makes her a pleasure to work with, and you always know what Jenna requires and how she is able to offer support, which made it easy to plan and execute projects in a set time frame, to a very high degree of satisfaction. Part of my role is finding new opportunities to raise funds for the wider community and national causes. I have already organised a fundraiser in which we raised almost £1000 for the Independent Domestic Abuse Service. Looking forward, I hope to get the team involved in food bank donations, charity runs and fundraiser events.

A team of 9 students at Sheffield Hallam University to be the voice of the student body at the National Union of Students conference. In 2021, Sheffield Hallam put forward a policy to tackled issues surrounding Sexual Violence, NDAs and Relationship Abuse. Over the course of the conference, I contributed to amendments regarding tuition fees, the maintenance loan, and the cost of living for students. The policies and amendments were then voted upon by delegates from across numerous UK universities and winning policies will be taken forward by the National Union of Students

Throughout my 3.5 years at Greggs I learnt many valuable skills such as communication and time management. I was responsible for serving customers, making sandwiches, cleaning the front and back of the store, handling of money, fulfilling 'Just Eat' orders, and ensuring we had enough baked goods to serve the customers. The job required good communication skills, upselling of products, good organisational skills to ensure everything was cleaned and set up for the next day, and being able to work independently as well as part of a team to ensure everything ran smoothly as possible.
