As a beertender, my duties include greeting customers cheerfully and encouraging an atmosphere of hospitality in the taproom, and collecting money for drinks served. It's my responsibility to check the identification of customers to verify age so they meet the requirements for the purchase of alcohol. Cleanliness is a huge part of serving food and drinks to patrons, so we are to clean glasses, utensils, and bar equipment everyday and every night we stocked the bar, sweep, mop and disinfect areas that have been met by patron and tenders. At the end of the night, we need basic mathematical knowledge to balance the register/cash receipts Sometimes patrons needed suggestions so finding a beer that will suit them and their preferences came along with conversation and occasionally up-selling merchandise. Helping to educate patrons about our beers not only teaches them something but it allows a better opportunity for others to fall in love with 20 of our hand-crafted beers. Show less
