    • Manager, Special Events & Community Outreach
      • Aug 2018 - Present

Responsible for promoting the Elmhurst Art Museum as a community anchor through a variety of internal events, as well as a site for special event rentals. Oversee the development and implementation of community-based events (internal and with local non-profit groups), both on- and off-site. I work closely with community partners to create events and programs at the museum aligned with institutional objectives. These events could be for families, citizens of the western Chicago suburbs, local artists, or other specific groups. Act as a spokesperson for the Museum’s programming, articulating the vision and purpose of community partnerships. Act as the lead for Soiree, a major annual fundraiser for the museum. In this role, I work with the Soiree committee, and members of the museum’s board with the goal of raising money at a successfully executed event. I also source vendors and negotiate contracts with vendors including: event production, A/V, caterer, online bidding platform, marketing collateral designer, and more. Coordinate and manage all event rentals for the museum. This includes tours for prospective clients through contract booking. Communicate with all vendors to ensure a seamless and smooth event. Liaise with museum staff regarding event details and impact on visitor hours, facility, etc. Act as onsite contact for day of duties at all events.
