Our vision at Jacaranda Health is to have a world where all women and their families experience childbirth safely and with dignity. We partner with government hospital where 80% of women seek care to deliver low cost and sustainable solutions with a goal of 100% government ownership. Our programs include a free two way digital platform that empowers women with knowledge and connects mothers to care during pregnancy and post delivery ( our SMS program), and our nurse mentorship program that seeks to improve provider skills so as to provide better and quality care to mothers. My role as a program associate in Nairobi is to ensure that mothers are enrolled into our SMS program by working together with public facilities in charges, MCH and maternity nurses. I also maintain close relationship between these facilities and Jacaranda Health through constant communication, reporting and addressing any challenges they may have as a result of the program.Furthermore, my first hand experience with our stakeholders ( mothers, government partners and the community) has given me room for learning which has seen me offer great insights for program improvement.
