Provide supplemental reading instruction for students in grade K-5, reviewing and analyzing student selection data to implement effective reading interventions. ▸ Differentiate instruction by utilizing reading strategies and research-based teaching approaches to meet the learning needs of each student, adhering to the Title I state and federal regulations. ▸ Monitor the North Dakota State Assessment in Math, Reading, and Social Studies, applying new information and ongoing data to drive instruction and enable students to achieve their goals. ▸ Continually develop and implement programs or events related to literacy, i.e. the "Walk 2B Fit to Learn" program, the grant-funded program "Gearing Up For Kindergarten," a literacy day at the Bismarck Veterans Memorial Public Library, and author visits throughout the district. ▸ Communicate with the school counselor to identify students with emotional, social, or physical needs, serving as a Certified Crisis Prevention Intervention (Nonviolent Crisis Intervention) team member.
