Instructional Coaching • Conducted weekly and full lesson observations and one-on-one meetings with teachers to provide targeted instructional coaching using both reflective and directive strategies • Produced professional development plans and formal evaluations for thirteen teachers and support staff that identified strengths as well as opportunities for growth in order to collaboratively create a plan towards instructional mastery • Analyzed student data in order to guide teachers in instructional planning, instruction and differentiation strategies using formative and summative assessments Student Management • Identified at-risk students and led regular Intervention Assistance Team meetings where teachers, parents and support staff collaborated to create a plan for student success • Utilized a variety of data points to rank students and create class lists in order to meet their academic and behavioral needs • Managed a population of approximately 275 students through positive reinforcement, targeted behavior plans and appropriate disciplinary consequences as part of a culture of high expectations and high care School Improvement • Created and led SCECH professional development sessions for teachers • Leader of School Improvement Team; worked to produce School Improvement Plan (SIP) and School Process Rubric (SPR) and created a plan to utilize the data to create school-wide goals • Planned and facilitated Professional Learning Communities (PLC) that identified best practices and resources to equip teachers to achieve SIP goals in the classroom • Monitored teachers’ implementation of Common Core State Standards, curricular tools, and key instructional strategies Dean Mentor • Provided support, advice, and guidance to new deans through monthly learning activities and personal contacts
