  I worked with art galleries and institutions to help install art shows. Clients include Jeffrey Deitch, PACE, Murmurs Gallery, marta, Institute of Contemporary Art, Japan House, and Donald Ellis Gallery. This job mainly entailed unpacking and installing artworks. Occasionally I used AutoCAD to make scale models and maquettes for group shows.

  I spent two years working as an art assistant for small production companies and artists. I worked for a design studio called NüCalifornia building custom set pieces for music videos and on-stage productions. I worked for a woman-owned lighting sculpture business called Facaro and helped with her production process. I worked for a custom steel bike fabricator and assisted with the milling process for cutting and shaping steel tubes and components.

  My ability to build things according to specs drastically improved with 40-hour weeks working in a shop setting.
