We would like to see more young people having access to the Award, to help increase their resilience, self-confidence and engagement within their school and community. We would like to have more employers recognise the Award during their recruitment process, by becoming Duke of Ed Employers. We would like to grow our Duke 4Sport partners, and connect with more sporting organisations, to help them engage differently with their young people. We’re also very keen to have the tertiary sector recognise the young people who have dedicated time to improving themselves, supported the community and demonstrated their ability to commit to long term goals. The Duke of Edinburgh's International Award is a leading structured (non-formal education) youth development program, empowering young people between 14-25 to explore their full potential regardless of their location or circumstance. The Award is a fully inclusive program and has no social, political, or religious affiliations. Show less

My role involves supporting our SA Award Centres with running the Duke of Ed in their school or youth organisation. My goal is to increase the number of young people doing the Duke of Ed Award each year, by increasing the number of participants at each Award Centre and by finding new schools and organisations to be involved. The Duke of Edinburgh's International Award is a leading structured (non-formal education) youth development program, empowering young people between 14-25 to explore their full potential regardless of their location or circumstance.
