As part of the requirements for the completion of my Masters in Chemistry I took part in a year long industrial placement at Almac as an Analyst within Analytical Services. I have significant experience in a GMP environment using high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) for quality control and method development purposes. This included daily use of charged aerosol detectors (CAD). As well as this, daily performance of analytical testing techniques including dissolution testing and sample preparation for impurity testing, content uniformity and assay testing and quality data-checking of completed work. The role involved significance use of Empower software for analysis of results. As part of my role I received a Certificate of Excellence for my contribution towards project targets and deadlines.
